I keep the same four stops every night, in the same order. Nobody is expecting me at any of them, which is exactly why the order matters.

One egg. Half a bottle of ketchup. I open it about six times a night to confirm that nothing in there has changed. Nothing in there has changed.

Routes 5, 22 and 69 stop here. I am not going anywhere on any of them. I just prefer to sit somewhere that has a roof and a timetable.

An energy drink and a cup of noodles. The guy behind the counter stopped asking how I am doing months ago. We nod at each other now. It works better.

I do not have laundry here. The dryers are warm and they count down out loud, which is more structure than the rest of my night is offering.
There are three ways home from here and I always take the longest one.

By the time it starts getting light I am usually back on the couch, acting like that was the plan the whole time.
